The clocks have now gone forward and at long last the longer evenings are with us again. I hope everyone has had a good Easter break and that we are now re-energised ready for our incoming summer season and as many outdoor activities as we can manage. If, like me, you have indulged in a few Easter eggs in the past week or two then a session in the great outdoors is just what you need and the first organised activity is next Sunday, 6th April, when we can all join in the District Scout hike. Barry Preston of 1st Kilbride has organised this and has emailed numerous people with the relevant details.
St. George's Day Parade
Preparations are well underway for this year’s parade hosted by 2nd Larne (Barnhill) Group. The date is 27th April with the service being held in Gardenmore Presbyterian Church, Victoria Road, Larne. There will be more discussion and detail on this at our next Leaders’ Meeting. The parade will form up in the Exchange Road car park at 2.15pm with the parade leaving at approximately 2.30pm. No cars can therefore park in this car park but parking is available in the Agnew Street car park which is right beside it and is accessed beside the Fire Station. We will walk through the Agnew Street car park onto Agnew Street and then along Victoria Road to the church. After the service we should be back to the car park by approximately 4.30pm. The offering will be donated to a suitable charity.

St George's Day Awards
Congratulations go to Oliver Townsend and Alex Powers on their awards of Bar to the Silver Acorn. Well done and our thanks as a District must go to both on their continuing excellent work for the District in their respective roles.
District Leaders' Meeting
Just a reminder that this meeting will be held on Thursday, 3rd April at 7.45pm in the Church Hall of the Church of the Good Shepherd, just off the Jordanstown Road at the entrance to the Monkstown estate.
